Our base of operation, situated on the West coast of the Island of Mauritius in the middle of the Indian Ocean at Black River Bay, the Morne Angler's Club has been the place for more than 40 years of fantastic deep sea fishing activities with unforgettable and emotional fights against Blue Marlins and other fish leading to victories or deceptions, but always, with the prevailing feeling of great respect for the fish and the nature.

Several international competitions have taken place at Le Morne Angler’s Club and are still being held like the actual Marlin World Cup organized by La Pirogue Hotel.

Le Morne Angler’s Club was founded in 1955 by the mauritians Allan Cambier, Maurice Henry and Jacques De Robillard, the pioneers of deep sea fishing in Mauritius.  The Club is entering the third millennium with a rich history and a brilliant future.  Famous fishermen from all over the world have visited us and are still fishing in our deep blue sea.

A Marlin taken for a ride!  Caught at Le Morne and bought on top of a car to Curepipe.  In those days, everything was possible.
